Born in Port Louis, Mauritius 1951

Started to learn piano on the boat from Mauritius to the UK in 1954 with Robert White

Studied piano with Hesther Agate at The Trinity College of Music, London from the age of 7 & cello from the age of 12
Being the proud owner of very small hands, cannot play Classical Repertoire to seek a career as a Classical Pianist

Turns to Jazz & Blues under the guidance of Jon Hendricks (of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross fame) - Starts playing on people's records in 1969

Main "production/song writing influences" Leiber & Stoller, Bacharach & David, Pappo, Astor Piazzolla, Jimmy Webb, Jimmy Page, Cat Stevens.......

Between 1994 to 2002, several 3-weeklong Missions with "Assistance Medicale Toit Du Monde" (www.amtm.org) to Nepal, as Humanitarian Administrator of Rigzin Drubpeh Ghatshal Monastary (Pharping, near Kathmandu) ...
